The United Bristol Hospitals RFC has been dedicated to providing a competitive rugby club for Medics, Dentists and Vets from Bristol University since 1946. We have two teams that take part in the National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) competition and and we saw great success last year when we won the plate as our second team reaching the quarter final for their first year in their competition. Our mens teams also play friendlies against other local mens and university sides whilst the second team competes in the university intramural league, offering a standard of rugby for everyone.

For the first time last season we fielded a women's team, who went on to win the NAMS cup in its debut year - a huge achievement for the club and the women's side.

The main aim of our club is to provide a sociable and welcoming environment where players of all abilities are encouraged to join and be a part of the team. We
have a core of Bristol University medic, dentist and vet students but will never turn a player away. We are always aiming to improve with dedicated coaching twice a week and games played on Saturday. This allows an alternative to the Uni rugby side while maintaining a competitive standard and regular game time for our players.
